xmodmap settings lost when changing keyboard layout

Hey Olivier,

I have some multimedia keys defined in ~/.Xmodmap. Right now I'm
working on properly handling MappingNotify events in the keyboard
shortcuts code. It works nicely and except for one issue: Whenever I
change the keyboard layout, the multimedia key definitions such as

  keycode 162 = XF86AudioPause

are lost. They work again after running 'xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap'. Is it
possible that there are some bits missing in the code for changing the
layout?
