Yeah, hardware performance is obviously a factor. But as it stands,
scite starts instantly for me. Geany is a bit slower, taking maybe 3
seconds to load up the first time.

No bloat in the branch right now, that was just me panicking about my
beloved Mousepad losing it's purpose, triggered by the mentions of
syntax highlighting. :) And as I said, of course Nick is free to do as
he pleases. It's his project now. I'm sure he'll do his best to keep it
simple and fast if and when he adds features he deems necessary.

Nobody's forcing me to update, anyway.

That's back when I didn't use geany for coding. :) But you're right, I
guess I've changed my mind since then.
