Haha, now we know for what you wanted to store bookmarks in xfconf. I
actually had thought about this too when starting to write sion. But I
dropped the idea because it would add a hard-dep on xfconf which would
exclude most non-Xfce users and (almost) all non-Xfce 4.6 users.
Then I thought about using the XBEL format but adding libxml as
hard-dep just to read bookmarks wasn't that nice too.
So, currently the bookmarks are stored in simple key-value files.

I don't agree at this point, this would be way to complicated, IMO.
When Sion tries to mount a remote FS and additional information like
username, password or a domain name are necessary, the GVFS system
sends a signal and Sion shows a dialog to the user to enter the
additional required information. Similar for errors.

This could be useful. It'd be easy to add a flag "mount-at-login" to
the bookmarks and let them be mounted when logging in.
