We all have a right to talk about whatever we like.  Your original 
critique came off as a bit rude and insulting.  Saying "I'm sorry, but" 
before saying something rude doesn't make it any less rude.

A word of (unsolicited) advice: if you want to get people who don't know 
you to do something for you (for free!), logic suggests you approach 
them in a humble manner, be as polite as possible, and avoid insulting 
them.  If you choose to ignore this, you shouldn't be surprised when 
people either ignore you, or respond defensively or with hostility.
