That's a little risky.  Up to Olivier if we want to include it in 4.4.x
at all.

Not sure what the big deal is: different scripts/apps in the package
are released under different licenses.  I guess the package as a whole
is released under the most restrictive license of the bunch (assuming
BSD, LGPL, GPL, most restrictive is GPL).
