I don't have amd64 hardware to test on, but it works fine for me on x86
with nvidia's binary drivers, as well as nv.

Heh, thanks Auke, but I wouldn't call it particularly mature. It has
quite a few rather annoying problems that seem to have cropped up
recently on newer releases of Xorg. I haven't had the time to work on
it in quite a while. There's a lot still to be done, but I'm not sure
when I'll get back to it. So, not dead, but definitely stalled.

From the output in that bug report:
"Compiler did not align stack variables. Libavcodec has been miscompiled
and may be very slow or crash. This is not a bug in libavcodec,
but in the compiler. Do not report crashes to FFmpeg developers."
Clearly there are other problems going on here.
