I'm afraid I fail to understand why we should do such a move. When I
started coding, I knew what I choose as a license, and I knew the "or
later" clause, there is nothing new here. So why should we change now?

I am definitely *not* a lawyer, and I am very far from understanding how
legal things work. That's probably why I did not write my own license
and trust the FSF to do that for me. So far nothing has changed, and I
still don't get what could be wrong with GPL3.

So, for now, from my point of view, I see no reason to change anything
in the licensing of the code I wrote or contributed.

If someone can convince me that GPL3 is such a very bad thing that I
need to "fork" my own code, then I could change my mind, but for now...
