exo hal dependency

Hi,

Currently, as I understand it, exo depends on hal 0.5.7 or later to 
include hal support. I'm working on Suse 10.1 (which is not so ancient 
and has hal 0.5.6) and tried to update hal and all to meet that 
requirement. Wasn't funny. I reverted to the vendor provided packages 
and had a look at exo-hal. The only thing that seemed to be standing in 
the way were new volume types like LIBHAL_VOLUME_DISC_TYPE_BDROM, which 
I could just comment out (so they won't be supported but that's ok for 
me). Wouldn't it be good to insert some #ifdef HAVE_... to support 
"older" versions of hal? Although hal is under heavy development, it's 
widely used (but not always with the latest version) and nice to have.
