Well, "COMPOSITING_MANAGER" was the de facto standard before there was a
standard...

Now, the yet to become standard draft mentions _NET_WM_CM_S<n> where <n>
is the screen number (ie _NET_WM_CM_S0 for :0.0, _NET_WM_CM_S1 for :0.1,
etc.)

xfwm4 since RC1 supports both.

You can check that beryl sets _NET_WM_CM_S0 and if it doesn't, then file
a bug for beryl.

In the mean time, it would be nice if the panel could be changed to
check for _NET_WM_CM_S<n>, but that's not a high priority issue, a good
candidate for a low priority feature request in our bugzilla IMHO :)
