True, but I don't think it will be that hard with your page. The
simplest solution I can see right now would be to make the gradient
between (the logo and logo text) and (the text size selector and the
search box) repeating and do the same to the gradient after
"Community". This could be made without altering in any way how the
page would look at 800x600.

I did a small mockup in Gimp and it doesn't look bad at all imho:

Yes, it looks a bit stretched, and the whole page will do, but that's
normal when viewing pages that adapt to the resolution you use when
you're on a higher resolution. The people that uses a higher
resolution will get the page stretched to fill the window (and will be
used to pages looking a bit stretched), and people using lower
resolutions won't see any bigger difference.

Yeah, I'd like to take a look at it then.

Oh, and a minor thing: would it be possible to make the font used in
the text to the right of the logo hinted? That would make many the
edges sharper, especially for example the left edges of the "D" and
"E". This might be my personal preference, and just a minor
observation, though :)
