4.4 ETA?

Isn't Ubuntu's policy not to allow package version changes during a
release? Because I did happen to have some crucial bugs turned down,
because the package version couldn't be altered.
For those not knowing, try the xdm from Breezy, and tell me if it
works. I bet it won't ;)
I'm saying this because I don't want to be left stranded with a buggy
package for another 6 months. Ok, maybe not me, but an average user
wouldn't really know what to do/where to turn to...
