That sounds like a cool idea, but it's a bit complicated and
inconsisten, so... sorry, but no.  If you want to go beyond the
defaults, you always have 'man strftime', which is what you had to do
with datetime regardless.

Yeah, I agree with this.  It's one thing to have a nice lean simple
clock, but really, it's a *clock*.  It's silly to have to install a new
plugin just to get a clock that does something slightly different.
