Sorry, but the old mailcheck plugin is obsolete in favor of the new
mailwatch plugin[1].  No new features are added to the 4.2 branch, and
mailcheck is already broken with the new panel in the development branch.

Personally, I feel like this is more a niche/special-purpose feature,
and I don't think I'd want to include it in the mainline mailwatch plugin.
