launcher: ~ is not evaluated, this means executing ~/bin/someappstarter
does not work, ~ has to be replaced manually.
still missing: ability to choose "configure" in the context menu of a
starter's menu, cause having a menu open you expect to insert missing
icons or add new entries by simply right-clicking into the menu. the
menu item on which he right-click and "configure" was executed could be
chosen in the dialog, making life easier and faster for the user.
launcher-dialog: what about opening /usr/(local)/share/pixmaps
or .../icons per default in the icon-chooser-dialog? (yes, gnome has it
this way...)
concerning your sub menu topic for the panel: i think it is far better
this way than having only one or two handlers on which you're able to
get the panel menu, which is the gnome-way.
