The nvidia proprietary drivers.  Render is way too slow with 'nv',
unfortunately, so composite is mostly unusable.

BTW, I see a commit message "Should fix the crash reported by Brian".
FYI, that doesn't seem to have fixed it, if that's indeed what that
message is about.
