stupid problem - i pointed it to the anonymous CVS tree, while it was 
watching commits to the dev CVS tree, but it of course didn't know that 
they're the same thing.  oh well.  all better now.

anyway, if you're curious on what bonsai does, check out its project page:

nifty thing is it integrates with bugzilla.  that means that if you fix 
a bug, in the commit message, you should put the bug number, so bonsai 
can notice and hyperlink it directly into bugzilla.  putting something 
like "(bug 1234)" in your commit message should do it.

next, when i'm feeling more masochistic, i'll set up LXR:
http://lxr.linux.no/
which also integrates with both bugzilla and bonsai, IIRC.  but that's a 
task for another day...
