Yes, seems ok now :)
BTW since I restarted the panel from the terminal I noticed many
warnings like this. Probably been there before the patch but I ran from
gdm before so I did not see them.

(xfce4-panel:10846): Gtk-WARNING **: gtktreemodel.c:1370: Invalid column
number 1 accessed (remember to end your list of columns with a -1)

and a few times
(xfce4-panel:10846): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_label_set_text: assertion
`GTK_IS_LABEL (label)' failed
