That is what occurs with 4.2.1 and the xfdesktop menu in Mandrake.
Menu works properly only Quit does not function.

For any who can not live without that functionality I instruct them
to replace
<builtin name="Quit" cmd="quit" icon="gnome-logout"/>
with
<app icon="/usr/share/icons/Rodent/scalable/apps/gnome-logout.svg"
name="Quit"  cmd="xfce4-session-logout"/>

in ~./config/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml
