session-saving the window status

Hi,

I presume that the session manager also tries to save the window status 
(e.g. sticky/not sticky). However, this does not work the same
for every application. In my case I have two quite similar apps, Mozilla 
Thunderbird and Mozilla Calendar, that I both want
to be sticky. The Calendar remembers it's status (sticky and minimized), 
while Thunderbird is reset to not be sticky after a new login.
Is the windows status saving and recovery application dependent?
