on Gentoo, i have  mozilla-firefox-1.0_pre-r2  &  mozilla-1.7.3 .

IIRC it used to happen w Xfce help & earlier versions of Mozilla at least.
presumably as it happens w Mozilla too & that is the basis for Firefox,
it sb something re Mozilla which is causing the problem.
i haven't seen it w any other apps.
