number of workspaces : mcs dialog vs. desktop window menu

Hi,

Currently the code to dynamically update the mcs plugin when something 
else changes the number of workspaces has been disabled. This means 
changing workspaces from the desktop window menu will not be saved.

There are two solutions:

1) Add back dynamic updating code and put in a g_module_unload() to 
remove the signal callbacks on exit.

2) Remove menu options from desktop window menu.

Which would you prefer? Olivier, Brian?
