since i'm adverse to remaining silent _forever_, i'll reply ^_^.
seriously, it looks good - a lot more flexible and robust than the old
one. i can't think of anything in particular that it's lacking.

i'd be in favor of this. it would require each component of xfce to
first check in the new location, then if nothing's there, check in the
old location, and then copy if it finds anything. a little tedious, but
whatever...
