crashing apps, continued

Brian, 

I have similar problems with panel,xfdesktop,xfrun since I updated to
experimental gnome (2.5)... did you change anything ?

But I even created a mini test program using xfce_exec, or just system,
and when I call the mini test program to start, say nautilus, or
evolution 1.5, both either hang instead of being started or crash after
they are started (and somewhat half drawn).

Really really weird...
