I am indeed seriously considering making the panel a dock type window, 
now that we have partial strut support (which the panel does not support 
yet, but soon will).

I'm not going to have automatically scaling icons, but I am open for 
discussion on icon sizes to support and I'm currently trying to change 
the icon themeing to make use of existing icon themes.
