depends.m4 weirdness

i noticed that the xfdesktop configure script is disabling 
xfce4-menueditor, because it thinks libxml2 isn't found (despite the 
fact that the script output says it _is_ found).  i poked around in 
depends.m4, and it looks like BM_DEPEND(_CHECK) isn't setting 
(libname)_FOUND anymore.  did you by chance accidentally remove it while 
you were last messing with the m4 file?
