gnome-terminal requires ORBit, libgnomevfs, libbonobo, libgnomeui, 
libgnomecanvas, libgnome-2, and libglade.  konsole requires a bunch of 
kde libs (just as many, maybe more), that an xfce user is even less 
likely to have/want on their system.  i agree that xterm and rxvt are 
probably "good enough" (hell, i use Eterm), but a nicer, xfce-branded 
terminal that doesn't have any large dependencies would be nice.

well, this is eduard's choice... if he feels there's a need for it, and, 
most importantly, wants to mess around with it, that's his call.  i know 
i sometimes rewrite stuff that i could just grab from GPLed code 
elsewhere.  why?  well, to see if i'm up to the challenge, to learn 
something new...
