Not to be argumentative, but the newest xterms support xft/fontconfig
stuff. Looks pretty sweet if you can find a nice font for it.

One feature I find is lacking in almost all of the non-xterm
emulators is a lack of 256 color support. Does your terminal program
have support for it?
