Great, I've attached the patch. It's an extension of the current
scheme, where a right click on the volume will drop it to 0, store the
pre-muted volume, and set a muted state variable. Another right-click
will restore the volume, and reset the muted state variable. Manually
changing the volume while in a muted state will automatically unmute
it. If someone would be willing to whip up some artwork so the icon
changes when muted, I could make another patch that will use that
instead.
