[XFCE 0000088]: Delay before you can double click again

I'm not sure you understand what I mean. I double-click on a file and
then double click on *another* file. Both double clicks are exactly the
same, except the second double click is done very quicky after the first
and the second double click does not seem to count. I can squeeze a third
double click in, and it will not do anything either. The next one will,
and that leads me to think there is a fixed delay.
