Hm, X seems to rely on the "invalid usage" of the last parameter. Interesting 
to see that using recommended pointer techniques (unions) leads to totally 
undefined behaviour. The root of this problem seems to be that last parameter 
being an unsigned char* pointer instead of a void pointer in 
XGetWindowProperty(). Anybody to tell whats going on here?
