Odd utf.c error...Any Worries?

Folks, can you help me with this. I start my XFce4 with:

startxfce4 >& startxfce4.log

just so I can capture errors. However, I noticed that I'm getting this
error quite a bit:

** (xfce-mcs-manager:2290): CRITICAL **: file utf8.c: line 34
(utf8_string_remove_controls): assertion `str != NULL' failed

often followed by the same error but with:
xfce4-panel:2301
xfdesktop:2299
xfce4-iconbox:2293

in various patterns. I haven't caught what action causes it yet, but
I'm hoping someone here knows. I haven't lost any functionality (that I
can see), so I'm not too worried, but I'd rather not have the message at
all.

Thanks,
Matt
