Icons on desktop

hrmm, why not make a file manager bar that would have icons of the first few files on your "desktop" directory, then when you click a botton to show more, you get a full window for your desktop? or something like that, that would be a neat add-on, the idea itself kinda sucks, but with more thought it could be neat.
