also, * it's easier for ordinary users if all icons etc are in 1 place;
the same for themes & fonts.  sometimes, users do need to look for them
& it wb so much easier if all DE's, apps etc put them in subdirs under
 /usr/share/icons  /usr/share/themes  /usr/share/fonts .
