Just out of interest why do you want to be able to maximise, move and
then never be able to get back to the original size though?  Wouldn't
that be a worthwhile feature to add?

I think this discussion has revealed that some of your users would like
such a thing.

If you want to s/bug/feature/g then that's fine but it would be a shame
to just write this off without considering it[1].

[1] where "it" is store the original location and size of the window
    even after a maximised window has been moved so that a further
    click on maximise would restore the window to its original size and
    location.
    This still lets you maximise with a further click of maximise.
