faster fm response

The xffm routines which depend on libxffmtubo (all SMB network stuff,
mount/umount, copy dialog, find, etc) are now much faster to start up
and finish off. Everything seems to work fine, but the library is under
observation. This is only 4.1, of course. So those of you with cvs
access please report anything unusual. The GIO stuff was replaced for
simpler "select" code.
