Locking the screen

 Are you sure it's xscreensaver locking the screen?
 If so the unlock window should announce itself as "XScreenSaver"
 Check if you have xlock installed on Copernicus and not on Tycho.

 xflock4 checks for xscreensaver first and if that's not running it
 falls back to xlock.
