mcs failing to load plugins

By writing installing Xfce4, I thought of the complete stuff(libs, mcs,

I downloaded again xfce-mcs-manager, xfce-mcs-plugins and xfce4, and
compiled them after ./configure --prefix=/usr and nothing changed. I
tried again with ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr but nothing changed, the mcs
stuff still doesn't work (ie no background, themes from xfce4rc and
xfwm4rc).
