failed to compile

Hi,

I did scan the packages on CD. No library with extension .la in the
packages. Ok, looks like RH9 users can not compile XFCE4 without tricks.
Still I was able to compile XFCE4 about month ago on RH9. (Because of
this I did upgrade my system).
