It's a race condition in the gtktreeview internals. Probably the only
bug workaround is to freeze the tree until the the internals are done.
The race condition crash may also occur /YMMV) when you have the monitor
enable and have large directory contents loaded. I'll try to work around
these gtk flaws in the next few days.
