mouse & keyboard modules never appear

Greetings,
I'm in the process of upgrading all of my boxen to RC2, and on one of them, 
when i run 'xfce-setting-show' the mouse & keyboard modules never appear. 
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?  BTW, this is a linux box, if 
that matters any.
