OT: GLib-CRITICAL Error (was: Re: xfdesktop update)

	Now this is interesting, thought not xfce4 related.  I just upgraded my
home laptop and my work laptop to RH 8.0 and both systems have been
throwing this error to the subprocess diagnostic pop-up...

GLib-CRITICAL **: file gstrfuncs.c: line 1194 (g_strcasecmp): assertion
`s1 != NULL' failed.

While not the same error, it's similar enough to make me wonder what
might be the problem.  If I rebuild xfce3 under the new glib/gcc do you
think this will resolve the problem?
