I just rechecked  and ---duh--- all I had to do was to press the
checkbutton that says "Use graphical pager". My $0.02 would be to make
the graphical pager default: it's so much nicer.

It's got me pretty much dumbfounded. It might not the fork() but the
pipes or signals used afterwards. I'm going to try to figure it out to
enable a workaround.
