Thanks for the reply. Yes it's a bit more integrated, I thought is was
not too badly done.
Anyway, I'm currently working a bit on a (possible) replacement [1] that
uses the new settings manager and I'll take your comments into account.

[1] Yes this is the infamous and as yet mostly imaginary xfdesktop
utility that my xfce 4 web page speaks about :)
