I could implement the file properties dialog with Glade.
Then someone would need to get the dialog to work within
the xffm code.

And one small note: The panel item (Launcher) dialogs use
'...' buttons beside the text-entry. The background dialog
uses a 'Browse' button below.  

If its ok, I'll change those things.
