panel iconify buttons

Very weird, but it may help me solve the problem. I'll look into it

This is for everyone answering they should work if they are there: duh!

I changed the exit button, because I couldn't see any reason you would
want to use that. That was before the ability to hide the central panel.
It was just duplicating functionality then. Perhaps it's time to put it
back.
