getting out of alt+tab switcher with with a shortcut

Hi all.
Greetings.

I have been using Xfce since 4.10. I appreciate the fact that there have been lots of improvements without major changes to the core elements, like the GUI. That helps me save time in learning new things and remain focussed on my work. My gratitude to the developers and other contributors to this great project.

Of late, I observed something weird. I used to get rid of the task switcher (Alt + Tab) using the 'Esc' key. But it no longer works. I looked in to the keyboard shortcuts dialog. It is not there. And I don't know what command to assign to the Esc key to achieve this. Couldn't get much help from the internet. That's why I ask here. I'm not understanding how it can disappear from the keyboard shortcuts.
