Screen scaling, which is the best way (or are they all the same)?

Hi,

scaling via X only looks good if you use whole integer scaling. Everything else is blurry.

For my 4k display at work I use no scaling, but 192 dpi with an extra thick window border theme. I have extra wide panels as well and most icons scale with dpi.

For some non-GTK applications I have to tweak their theming to adjust to the larger DPI.

With the font I suggest switching from a bitmap font to something vector based. At such high definitions, single pixels aren't an issue anymore.
