Weather plugin animation erratic

No. It's actually a Compaq-branded desktop from HP, model CQ5826. It came
with two PCI-E x1 slots, the other port has a gigabit network card in it.
Motherboard also has integrated audio from AMD, but I do not know if the
presence of the Creative audio card overriding it, has anything to do with
it.

My other desktop (also Compaq/HP, but a different model) only has half the
RAM as this, a slightly slower CPU, but with network, video and audio cards
in the PCI/PCI-E slots, but with a SATA SSD. The same scrolling on this, is
normal. The above system is still on its original SATA HDD.

It almost sounds like you have a Lenovo? Perhaps an X140e? Check out how
I moved up to 16MB:

then I stopped swapping and everything ran smoother.

Hi. I have Xfce 4.18 installed on Debian sid. If listening to music on
YouTube, whether the video is static or not, the scrolling animation in the
weather plugin becomes very erratic. If I stop the music, or close the
YouTube tab, the scrolling becomes smooth again. Occurs with Chromium (no
extensions installed) and have also noticed this when e-mail is being
checked in the background.

I would like to know if there is something causing this and can it be
corrected. I previously posted this on the Xfce Forum last week, but did
not receive any replies. The Debian Xfce packages default installed with
two panels, the regular panel (Panel 1) at the top of the screen and a
panel (Panel 2) that automatically hides, at the bottom. I have not
attempted to remove Panel 2.
