Evolution does not remind unread emails

Thank you for the suggestion.

I tried `evolution -q` and `evolution --force-shutdown` on logout but
this did not change the behavior. My suspect is the session manager is
getting in the way and abruptly kills evolution before the logout
command is even launched.

Is there a way to take a specific process away from xfce4-session?
Setting its "Restart Style" to "Never" seems to not work for evolution.
