I was not aware that .config/Thunar/accels.scm exited. I checked my
computer and the file was there. The modification date was 17/12 so
well before I updated to 4.16.

The file had all the shortcuts commented out. I uncommented the one
for <Alt>Up and that solved the problem. Thanks a lot.

However after I modified the file with the text editor the file was
rewritten to disk as my text editor said that the file had been
changed. My modification did not get lost.

However what I got does not match what you said above. If the default
is indeed "<Alt>Up" then there should be no need for me to uncomment
it?

Something that may or may not be relevant for this discussion: I use
openbox instead of xfwm, and don't have installed xfdesktop.
